Resource Rhymes 2018/2019 is a pilot project and will consist of the following timelines:

• Mar-Jul 2018: project scoping, planning and development. Stakeholder engagement and relationship building 

• Oct 2018 (Term 4): introduction of project to schools via Council networks.  This involves introducing an outline of the project via a PDF presentation as well as the introduction of entry guidelines.  Schools can consider the project and how it can be fitted into the curriculum and their teaching plan for 2019. 

• Oct-Dec (Term 4): registration of interest accepted with participating schools given consent forms and opportunity to discuss project further including the potential option of receiving additional assistance in the form of workshops (song writing, waste education information, basic IT assistance).

• 28 Jan-20 Apr 2019 (Term 1): participation confirmation via registration, submission of consent forms and acceptance of entry guidelines. Pre-project surveys completed and reflection report issued to guide facilitation.

• 20 Apr 2019: registration closes 5pm. Consent forms have been extended but please register & submit surveys by April 20th

• 7 May: All completed consent forms submitted (one for every participant)

• 29 Apr-5 Jul 2019 (Term 2): participants create and develop rhymes. Volunteers can offer support upon request. 

• July 5th 2019 by 5pm: all Rhymes submitted, complete with appropriate acknowledgements. 

• July 20th 2019: submissions uploaded onto internet platform for public voting. Expert judging panel given marking criteria for review. View rhymes here

• Sep 18th 2019: public voting closes. 

• Sep 20th 2019: expert’s marks submitted.

• Sep 27th 2019: winners of people’s choice and expert’s opinion announced (29 Sep school holidays).

• Oct 21-25, 2019: winning schools awarded prizes. (Some prizes will be contracts of work to be completed for the school over time, in which case, the school will be awarded a certificate and evidence of the contract). 

• December 13th 2019 (Term 4):All prizes/ works to be scheduled by end of Term 4. 

• Dec 2019: project review, feasibility study for 2020 resource rhyme project completed by January with new topic introduced in Term 1, 2019.
